Interactive Presentation: Department Showcase

I turned a traditionally dull year-end report into a fully interactive, story-driven “awards show” experience—complete with original characters, animated videos, and whimsical narrative flow—that captured global leadership’s attention and showcased team achievements in a memorable, high-energy way.

Each year, global teams submitted highlights and achievements, but the standard PowerPoints and bullet-point emails weren’t engaging enough to capture leadership’s attention or communicate the full impact of the work. The department needed a fresh, compelling way to showcase our wins and celebrate cross-team collaboration.

I designed a whimsical, interactive “awards show” presentation hosted by two original characters aligned to the med tech industry—Ivana B. Healthy and Colin Ambulance—who guided viewers through the year’s biggest achievements.

Each “nominee” section combined animated videos, music, and a short narrative explaining the work and its impact. I wrote the script, designed the visuals, built the interactions, and crafted a cohesive story experience, supported by teammates who provided the data and screenshots.

The showcase became a department-wide sensation, reaching global leadership and sparking excitement across teams. It generated enthusiastic praise, strengthened cross-department relationships, and put our L&D team firmly on the map.

The creative approach showed not just what we accomplished—but who we were as a team and the value we brought to the organization.
