eLearning, Field Safety & more

I collaborated with SoCalGas to complete a 9-module safety training series for field technicians, leads, and managers across Southern California. The modules were built in Articulate Storyline and designed to be clear, accessible, and engaging—even for topics that were, at times, a little creepy (hello, snakes and spiders).

This four-part module focused on workplace safety around spiders, scorpions, hymenoptera (bees, wasps, etc.), and ticks. I co-wrote and developed the module, ensuring it struck the right tone: informative, friendly, and just playful enough to keep learners engaged without downplaying the serious risks.

I also helped design six modules for managers focused on sample collection processes, emphasizing best practices, compliance, and leadership accountability. These were tailored for team leads and included software simulation.

Another module focused on snake bite safety—from species ID to emergency treatment. This course prioritized clear visuals, field-relevant scenarios, and simple interactivity to boost retention for workers often operating in remote areas.

One module focused on introducing a new key field tool, guiding users through correct usage, safety precautions, and operational impact. The training featured layered visuals and click-based practice screens to help reinforce usage steps without overwhelming the learner.

I joined the project midstream after the original designer stepped away. My job was to maintain visual and tonal consistency, build out remaining modules, and inject just enough creativity to make the content engaging without compromising clarity. The result? Training that stakeholders loved—and a safer, more informed field workforce.
